The Clüsserath-Eifel domain is specialised in cultivating the classic, high-quality riesling grape. The aim is to produce fresh, fruity and highly textured wines, rich in flavours and with pleasant, well-balanced acids.
These rieslingwines are grown on very steep, southly oriented slopes, typical of the best vineyards of the region (Devon-Schiefer or slate rocks).
A strict yield limitation (short pruning) as well as environment-friendly and organic manuring form the basis of the high quality of the wines: because the concern for quality begins in the vineyard. Experience and tradition but also modern oenological and ecological points of view allow to avoid the use of chemical products. Careful pressing and a modern filter system assure the natural handling of grapes, must and wine.
For Gerhard and Waltraud Eifel, no wine mountain is too high to serve “pure wine”!

Products:

From Gutsriesling (“domainriesling”) to Trockenbeerenauslese, a whole gallery of riesling wines (hence the name “Galerie Riesling”). Top wines are for instance the Spätlese Trocken “Eminenz” (from very old grapevines) and the Fährfels Riesling, of which the grapevines root in solid rock.
